Product Description
An excellent Spanish Colonial wood santos, c. 17th-19th century AD. Depicting the Virgin Mary, with teardrop-shaped body, head bowed down in prayer, her two hands extending from the front of her body. She wears a quatrefoil crown or hat, and a long, blue coat. Floral decorations adorn the front of her body. Much of the original polychrome blue, red, yellow, black and white painted details remain!
