Old Kingdom Egypt Pottery Vessel. Old Kingdom Egypt, ovoid ceramic jar with light uneven horizontal ridges, defined shoulder and flared mouth. The horizontal ridges were made using fingertips over 3000 years ago! Traces of the finger-print ridges are still faintly visible on the surface. The bottom is tapered with a somewhat pointed base. A fascinating piece!
