Holy Land. Roman period, c. 1st-3rd century AD. Large bronze “Crucifixion spike” type nail. The type of spike used for crucifixion, as well as other construction such as ship-building in the Holy Land during the time. Absolutely massive, the largest of the type I have ever come across. 9 inches long, and very heavy and thick.
