Ancient Egypt, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC. Rare Egyptian terracotta head of a pharaoh. Broken off from a larger statue in antiquity, the terracotta is now a dark brown color with glossy surfaces. Mounted on a square wood base (entire piece stands 2 1/2" tall). Ex Washington D.C. private collection.
