Pre-Columbian. Ancient West Mexico, c. 100 BC - AD 250. A lovely Chinesco 'Type C' ceramic figure of a standing woman on bifurcated feet with prominent thighs and hands on her belly. She wears a loincloth, domed head piece with ear spools, her face and detail in creme slip contrast nicely with the burnished red-orange skin tones. In great condition with mottled mineral deposits.
Accompanied by a hand-signed certificate of authenticity which includes all the details, culture, dating, motifs/inscriptions when applicable, historical relevance, and provenance.
