Spanish “Pirate Money”. Struck under Ferdinand II and Isabella (1474-1504) through king Carlos II (1665-1700 AD) of Spain. Group of 10 copper Maravedis “cobs.” Originally struck depicting a castle and lion, some counter-stamped with symbols, Roman numerals and/or dates when the coins were re-tariffed under later rulers.
