Biblical "Poor Widow's Mite" coin. Bronze prutah, coin type mentioned in the Bible. Struck 103-76 BCE. Seleucid anchor, Greek inscription "BASILEWS ALEXANDPOY" / Wheel with 8 ray-like spokes, Hebrew inscription "Yehonatan the King." Minted during the 1st Century BC but circulated during the time of Christ. Referred-to in the Gospel of Luke 21:1-4. Coin found outside Jerusalem. Set in custom .925 silver bezel and 20-inch silver chain. Coin with nice brassy color, good detail.
