Ancient Rome. Divus Augustus Caesar (27 BC-14 AD). Large bronze dupondius, struck under Tiberius, c. 22-30 AD. Radiate head of Augustus left, star above, thunderbolt to left, DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER / S-C, Livia as Pax seated right, holding patera and sceptre. Holed in antiquity to be worn as a pendant! Exceptional detail and a scarcer type.
