Crusader Kings of Antioch. King Bohemond III. 1162 - 1201 AD. Silver denier. The front depicts the helmeted head of the king facing left, wearing chain-maille armor and helmet with cross, a crescent and star to sides, inscription + BOAMVNDVS around / The back with a central Crusader cross patee, crescent in quadrant, + ANTIOCHIA around. ref: Metcalf 387, CCS 67d for type. Coin measures 17mm diameter, slabbed and graded Very Fine by ANACS (slab measures 3 1/4" x 2 1/4". Very Fine, dark silver tone, nice detail. ex-Scottsdale, AZ collection.
