Ancient Roman Britain, circa 3rd Century AD. Excellent, small bronze "Crossbow-fibula" toga pin, found in England. A Roman soldier's / Legionary type, with high arched body for thick material to fit through, when worn over the shoulder. Gorgeous deep green patina. Still retains its original pin! A military-issued item, worn by high ranking figures in the legion. L: 2 3/8”. From the J. Norman collection, Germany.
