Ancient Roman Tweezers // 1st-4th century AD
Product Description
Ancient Rome, 1st-4th century AD. An excellent bronze locking tweezer. Likely for cosmetic use, although may it have had medical applications. The coil at the end would have slid down the body adding tension and allowing the tweezer to be "locked" in place. It measures 2” long with nice olive-green patina. Ex Eastern European private collection. A rare type!
