Ancient Egypt, Second Intermediate Period, c. 1750-1570 BC. A fantastic steatite scarab, the top nicely carved and the base engraved with a mirror image depicting two facing crowns of Lower Egypt, and various hieroglyphic symbols around. Scarab measures 17mm, and comes with a custom wood stand featuring an impression of the scarab in green clay.
