Product Description
A beautiful Gandharan stucco head from the Indus Valley, ca. 4th-5th Century AD. This choice example is 3.5” high and portrays Buddha with elongated ears and pierced lobes. He is depicted with the classic serene expression and wavy coif gathered into a top knot. Remnants of red paint still visible in some of the features. In excellent condition, with good mineral deposits.
