Small bottle of ancient Egyptian “mummy-beads”. Ancient Egypt. New Kingdom to Late Period, c. 1570-535 BC. Multicolored faience beads. Faience was a porcelain/glass-like material revered by the ancient Egyptians which turned bright colors when fired in the kiln. Bottle measures about 1 inch tall with cork and beads can be poured out if desired. Beads excavated outside Thebes, Middle Egypt.
