Islamic 'Slipper' Lamp from the Holy Land
Product Description
A nicely preserved Islamic 'slipper' lamp from the Holy Land, c. 7th - 8th Century AD. Its angled shoulders have crisply molded geometric and floral patterns in relief, the fill-hole bordered by grooves with channel bordering spout. At back, it features a knob handle. On the bottom is a low ring base with ink stamp from the Israeli Antiquities Authority. Handle has been reattached. Well-preserved with light deposits.
