Augustus Caesar, 27 BC-14 AD. Large bronze dupondius, “Divus” issue struck under Tiberius, c. 22-30 AD, deifying Augustus as a god. Radiate head of Augustus left, DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER / S-C either side of large altar (Ara Providentae Augusti), PROVIDENT below. Good very fine, with sharp portrait.
