Medieval Armenia, time of the Crusades. Cilician Kingdom, King Levon I (1198 - 1219 AD). Large copper tank, Sis mint. Bearded leonine head of king Levon 3/4 facing front. His crown has five dots. Armenian inscription: "+ Levon King of the Armenians" / Patriarchal cross with two stars in lower field. Armenian inscription: "+ Struck in the City of Sisā. Green to brown patina, some holed through for wearing.
