Ancient Egypt. Late Dynastic Period, c. 664 - 332 BC. Attractive Egyptian bronze aegis of Khnum. The ram-headed god is depicted wearing a tall plumed headdress with cow's horns and a multiple broad collar; remnants of a circular mounting shaft at bottom. Mottled dark green patina with highlights. Old collection notes on back. Quite rare!
