Ancient Sumeria, c. 2500-2000 BC. A fantastic and tiny limestone amulet of a bovine or bull. With nice little features, holed-through vertically for suspension. From a collection representing some of the animal passengers saved by Ziusudra (the Sumerian Noah), made and used by people from the region and time period where the Flood Story first appeared.

Every piece is unique but similar in size & appearance. The piece you receive may be slightly different and not necessarily the same as pictured.

Is there material that backs this theory? It could simply be a child’s toy.

These are far too small to be a child's toy. They are pierced for suspension and hundreds of them were found together. The California Museum of Ancient Art, from which these were de-accessioned, supplied the research and the historical context and connections.

Do you get the animal in photo or are they random?

The photographed example is only an example. Each one is unique but very similar in size and appearance.
