A beautiful Roman bronze hand-held mirror, c. 1st -2nd Century AD, the handle is quite elaborate with open-work decoration and volutes, the terminal in the form of a crocodile's head. The mirror itself is circular with originally polished face and opposing side with lathed concentric rings. A marvelous piece with attractive patination!
