Rare Pre-Columbian Chancay Comb // c. 1100 - 1450 AD
Product Description
This is an excellent Chancay comb from Peru, ca. 1100 - 1450 AD. It's beautifully made from split reed, most likely Carrizo, with flattened points on both sides. This rare textile weaving tool is bound with the brown and tan braided thread typical of Chancay textile manufacture and retains a small handle.
