Ancient Persia, Achaemenid Kingdom. Time of Xerxes I to Darios II, c. 485-420 BC. The coin depicts a Persian king or hero in kneeling-running stance right, holding spear and bow / Rectangular incuse punch. It has excellent detail but some irregular toning.
