Ancient Chinese Xin Dynasty “Huo Quan” Coin // 14 - 23 AD
Product Description
Ancient China, Xin Dynasty, 14-23 AD. Nice bronze “Huo Quan” of Wang Mang (9-23 AD), Emperor of China coin. The coin depicts two large Chinese characters Huo Quan ("sping of goods").
Wang Mang (45 BC-6 October 23 AD), was a Han Dynasty official who overthrew the throne from the Liu family and founded the Xin (meaning "new") Dynasty, ruling from 9-23 AD. Some historians have viewed Wang as a usurper, while others have depicted him as a visionary and social reformer. The Xin Dynasty (pronounced “Chin”, is the root of today’s “China”).
Every coin is unique but similar in condition and appearance. The one you will receive might be slightly different and not necessarily the same as pictured.
