From the wreck of El Cazador, Spanish galleon sunk in 1784 off New Orleans. A nice silver 2-reale salvaged coin. The coin bears the bust of Charles III, “CAROLS III DEI GRATIA 1783” / The reverse pillars believed to be what inspired the "$" dollar sign used today. Inscription “HISPANIC ET IND RE 1783.
