Etruscan Terracotta Head of a Young Woman // 4th - 3rd Century BC
Product Description
A fabulous large Etruscan terracotta head of a young woman, c. 4th - 3rd Century BC. Her youthful features wonderfully modeled, her hair in a mass of tight curls below a narrow diadem with central rosette and pulled into a narrow bun high on the back of her head. A fabulous example of the Etruscan mastery of the ceramic art. Some repair to neck and small areas of restoration below chin and below jaw line, otherwise well-preserved with light surface deposits and remnants of pigment.
