Medieval Armenia, Cilician Dynasty, time of the Crusades. A small hoard of 20 Cilician Armenian copper coins. Dating from the reign of Levon I (1198 - 1219 AD), Levon II (1270 - 1289 AD), Hetoum I ( 1226 - 1270 AD), Levon II (1270 - 1289 AD), Hetoum II (1289 - 1307 AD), Smpad (1297 - 1299 AD), Levon III (1301 - 1307 AD), Oshin (1308-1320 AD) and Levon V, 1374 – 1375 AD. Each with visible detail and nice tone. Some with ancient holes where nails were driven through them, to wear as pendants or as offerings at a shrine! Largest 29mm (1 1/8") diameter. Housed within an old antique (not ancient) leather coin purse.
