This Sumerian Stone Amulet originates in Ancient Sumeria, circa 2500-2000 BC. It is a fantastic and tiny red steatite stone amulet of a ram or bull, holed-through vertically for suspension. This amulet hails from a collection representing some of the animal passengers saved by Ziusudra (the Sumerian Noah), made and used by people from the region and time period where the Flood Story first appeared. Sizes range from just 8-13 mm (0.375” to 0.5”) long including the enclosing capsule. Each specimen is unique but similar in size and appearance. The one you will receive might be slightly different and not necessarily the same as pictured.
