Product Description
This tiny Faience Amulet originating in Ancient Egypt during the Late Dynastic to Ptolemaic period, circa 664 - 30 BC, depicts the sky god Shu kneeling, hands held overhead as he supports the weight of the sky, There is a vertical plinth on the back with a horizontal suspension hole behind the shoulders. The amulet is well-preserved, is finished with a nice light blue glaze and is mounted on a rectangular black wood base.
