Tudor England Padlock // 16th Century AD
Product Description
Fabulous Tudor iron padlock dating from the 1500s AD. The heavy clasp still articulated, however missing the original key, long lost to history. This lock could have secured a chest of valuables, or even held closed a jail cell door. One’s imagination abounds holding an item like this in our hands! Found in the Thames Pentagonal, London. Nicely preserved.
