Ancient Rome. Emperor Probus, 276-282 AD. Bronze antoninianus, Ticinum mint, struck 281 AD. Set into custom .925 silver bezel. His radiate bust left, in imperial mantle and holding eagle-tipped sceptre, IMP C PROBVS P F AVG / Mars walking left, holding olive branch, spear and shield, I to left. MARTI PACIF; Mintmark QXXI. Excellent detail!
