Ancient Roman Holy Land, c. 1st century BC - 1st century AD. Rare bronze spike, found in Negev near Beersheba. Sometimes referred to as a "Crucifixion Spike" type nail, these are extremely rare to be found in bronze. Olive green patina and heavy earthen and mineral deposits. Ex Harlan J. Berk, ex Illinois private collection, collected in the 1970’s.
