Product Description
Ancient Roman Egypt, Nero. Large silver (billon) tetradrachm coin struck at Alexandria, Egypt, dated Year 12 (65-66 AD). Set into a custom .925 silver pendant and 18-inch Italian silver necklace. The front depicts the radiate head of Nero facing right, adorned with an aegis on his chest, surrounded by the Greek inscription NERW KLAY KAIS SEB GER. The back features the draped bust of the goddess Alexandria facing right, wearing an elephant skin headdress, with the inscription AYTO-KRA; and the date LIB to the right.
