Excellent Colt Model 1849 // The "Gun That Won The West"
Product Description
Antique Colt Model 1849 Percussion Pocket Revolver. manufactured in 1867. Six shot, single action, octagon barrel, one piece walnut grips, with brass guards. In excellent condition for its age, and with its original wood grips showing extensive holster scratches. Signs of wear and use overall, including some pitting and various scuffs and dents, typical for a pistol of this age. The barrel has the one line New York address “ADDRESS COL SAM’L COLT NEW YORK USA AMERICA”. The cylinder is worn but once was engraved with a stagecoach robbing scene, along with “COLTS PATENT” and serial number. It cycles properly, however this is an antique and not warranted safe to shoot and it should not be attempted without the aid of an expert. An excellent addition to any collection!
