Cilician Kingdom, King Hetoum I, 1226 - 1270 AD. Large copper Tank from Medieval Armenia, time of the Crusades. King seated cross-legged on a throne adorned with lions. He holds a globus cruciger and fleur-de-lis, Armenian inscription: "+ Hetoum King of the Armenians" / Potent cross with four lines, Armenian inscription: "+ Struck in the City of Sis”. Dark coppery tone with great contrast. Encapsulated and graded Fine Details by NGC.
