Herod Archelaus, 4 BCE - 6 AD, Bronze prutah. Herod Archelaus is referenced in the New Testament, Gospel of Mark 12:41-44, and Luke 21: 1-4. The front depicts a bunch of wine grapes, HPWOY around / The back with a war helmet with trailing plumage and cheek pieces, small caduceus below left, inscription ETHNAPXOY below (all but worn away with age). Coin diameter 15mm, black patina. Encapsulated and certified by NGC!
