Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem, circa 1253 AD, during the height of the Crusades. A very rare Crusader silver coin, struck imitating the Islamic coins of the region of the time. A silver dirham imitating the standard type of the Ayyubid caliph al-Salih Isma'il, posthumously citing the Abbasid caliph al-Mustansir. Very clear date, pleasing VF-EF, a very rare high grade for the type.
