Product Description
Ancient Central Mexico, Aztec or earlier, likely 400 BC to 100 AD. A rare ceramic maskette for a figure. Depicts a male with pronounced nose, large earspools and tall headdress. Small holes on either side of forehead allowed this to be tied upon the face of a separate figurine. Traces of original blue paint still evident! Light mineral deposits.
