Ton Haas

Dutch designer Ton Haas has, since the early 1980’s, been renowned for his design collaborations with well-known manufacturers and his main focus is on creating and developing innovative seating solutions.
As a guest lecturer in Industrial Design at various institutions and member of (Dutch) design bodies and judging panels including BNO and KIO, Ton Haas' contemporary designs have been recognised through numerous awards such as the ‘ID Award’ , ‘iF product design award’ , “best of the best” – highest recognition in the red dot design award and last but not least also received the Design Plus Material Vision 2011 award.
Alongside his work in hi-tech modern environments, Ton Haas enjoys working with ethnic craftsmen in countries as diverse as Kenya, Haiti, Chile and Cuba. These different experiences provide Ton Haas with a unique blend of inspiration which is reflected so clearly in the stylish, innovative products.
