Pella // A021-04

The Pella is a classically handsome Swiss-made chronograph from Alexander's Heroic collection. It is named for the Greek capital of Macedon where both Alexander and his father were born. The name Pella is derived from the Ancient Macedonian word for "stone." Polished and satin brushed surfaces are juxtaposed in this magnificent timepiece. The caseband is carefully worked in a soft-touch horizontal satin finish. The lugs are finely polished, displaying a clear delineation between lug top and side surfacing. This mirror finish flows into a single delicate polished line around the bezel bottom and another on the bezel top. Shadowing this look are the two perfectly polished round pushers at two o'clock and four o'clock respectively. The crown in-between is fluted for maximum grip and is decorated with the Alexander logo on its face.

The caseback is largely brushed with six distinctive screw-points for a beautiful balanced look that is also functional. The center of the caseback features the Alexander logo in relief with its graceful arrow-moon motif. The multi-level sand-blasted dial sits comfortably beneath the slightly domed sapphire crystal glass. With a range of surfacing treatments, the dial exudes classic styling cues including subtle circular guilloche borders for the chronograph sub-dials. The high-polish hour markers are hand-applied to the dial in alternating arrows and Roman numerals with the classic horologically-inspired Roman number IIII hugging the quick-set date window. The Swiss Made hallmarking at 6 and Alexander logo at 12 complete the elegant dial design.
