About the Designer

Josh Jakus, the founder of Actual, is a designer based in Oakland, CA. Originally trained as an architect, he focuses on manipulating the inherent structure of materials that he works with in his products. His simply sophisticated, yet original designs are locally made using natural and recycled products.
