Mary Dowling Tequila Barrel was created in honor of Mary's own perseverance and determined spirit to stop at nothing to make her whiskey. This is a high rye Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey; aged over 3 years in #3 wood-fired, toasted and charred new American Oak and then finished in Reposed Tequila barrels. The result, of course, is that Mary Dowling Tequila Barrel has an incredibly original and nuanced taste profile. On the nose: subtle spice, anise and light floral notes are present in Mary Dowling Tequila Barrel before a hint of agave and citrus, grapefruit, smoke, tobacco and nutmeg warms the palate before giving way to a black pepper and lingering spice finish.
