Is this one single piece?

Yes, it is one single piece.

If painting is needed after installation, can it be removed in tact and reapplied with wall paper glue?

It's possible but it might not stick very well. It's better to paint it before then wait for a 1-month drying before applying it.

Can these be put in the shower area on tile?

It would be preferable if you place the sticker on a simple wall and not on tiles because the joints between the tiles may cause its detachment (peeling). Moreover, the sticker should not be placed on a surface that is exposed to waterfall.

Can you use outdoors?
