THESE CUFFLINKS SPENT OVER 31 HOURS ON THE LUNAR SURFACE!

APOLLO 12 Lunar Surface-Flown sterling silver cross cufflinks from the personal collection of astronaut and Lunar Module pilot Alan Bean. The cufflinks are accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from Bean's daughter, Amy, who attests to the cufflink's flown status to the surface of the moon aboard the lunar module Intrepid as part of the Apollo 12 mission. The cufflinks spent over 31 hours on the lunar surface. 

Made of sterling silver and featuring a design of three gothic crosses against a faded black inlay, the Bean cufflinks measure appx. 1" x .5". The cufflinks are reverse marked "Sterling" and engraved with the maker's mark of James Avery.

Launched on November 14, 1969, Apollo 12 was struck by lightning twice during the first minute of flight before going on to perform the second successful human landing on the moon during which Bean became only the fourth man to walk on the lunar surface.

Condition is as shown.
